This policy explains how SA Roofing ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use saroofing.ie or contact us. We are the data controller for this information. You can reach us at info@saroofing.ie, on 085 172 1435, or by post at 85 Cabra Road, Dublin 7, D07 H564.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, area or Eircode, the service you are interested in and your message. When you call, email or WhatsApp us we keep the contact details and information you give us so we can respond and, if you go ahead, carry out the work.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a quote and carry out and invoice any work you ask us to do. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Website enquiries are delivered to our inbox through an email delivery provider (Brevo) and our email is hosted by Google Workspace. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also runs a spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) when you use one of our enquiry forms. Turnstile looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots and does not use advertising cookies. We advertise on Google, and the Google Ads tag described below sends Google limited information about visits that come from our ads. These providers process data on our behalf under their own data protection terms. We may share information with our accountant or insurer where needed to run the business, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to work we carry out are kept for as long as needed for insurance, tax and any follow-up on the work, normally six years.
Cookies and analytics
We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify you or follow you across other websites.
We also use the Google Ads tag, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to find out which of our ads lead to calls and enquiries. It only sets cookies if you click "Accept cookies" in the banner. If you reject them, or have not chosen yet, no Google cookies are stored and Google receives only basic signals without identifiers, such as that a page was viewed. When you send an enquiry after accepting, the tag also sends Google a scrambled (hashed) copy of the phone number and email you entered. Google uses that only to match the enquiry to an ad click. People who reach the site from one of our ads may see a Google forwarding number in place of our mobile number, so that we can tell which calls came from advertising. Those calls still come straight through to us.
Your choice is saved in your browser. You can change it at any time with the cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page. Google's own use of this data is explained at policies.google.com.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by contacting us at the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
